Waveney Ladies Fellowship
The Waveney Ladies Fellowship was formed in 2008 meeting at the Masonic Hall in Lowestoft where, once a month, Ladies could come together to enjoy company and a pleasant meal in warm and convivial surroundings.
The main object of the Fellowship is to promote friendship, support and companionship amongst Masonic Widows.
Our Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month, excluding August. The Hall is open for coffee from 10.30.a.m. on Luncheon days, and Lunch is usually taken around 12.30.p.m. Our current membership stands at 35.
We have a very proactive Committee of 10, who work hard throughout the year to not only ensure the smooth running of the Fellowship, but who also organise various outings for our Members and co-ordinate Speakers at some of our Lunch Meetings.
Recent outings have included a visit to Wroxham for shopping and a Boat Trip on the Norfolk Broads, a Lunch at a Waterside Restaurant and a pre-Christmas trip to a large Garden Centre including a Christmas Lunch.
We have enjoyed talks from some excellent Speakers on many differing subjects including Old Lowestoft and Flower Arranging. We have also been entertained by a very talented local Cartoonist.
Our Members are encouraged to suggest different places they would like to visit, and recent suggestions have included Anglesey Abbey and an Evening of Greyhound Racing at Great Yarmouth. We hope to organise these events, and others, during 2017.
Masonic Widows from all parts of the Country are most welcome to enjoy a Coffee and Lunch with us at any of our Meetings, details of which are set out below.
